Heir to his famous granddam MSJ Freestyle / Cathrine Dufour (DK)
MSJ Tokyo inspires with his outstanding talent for movement in all three basic gaits and exceptional rideability and strength of character. His attentive, uncomplicated and willing nature makes working with him a pleasure. His great potential can already be recognised under saddle. He impresses with powerful, strikingly elastic movements with excellent foreleg mechanics and a simultaneous gain in scope. A rare combination that is reminiscent of his famous granddam “Mount St. John Freestyle”. Freestyle won individual bronze at the 2018 World Championships in Tryon under Charlotte Dujardin/GB and is currently being prepared for the 2024 Olympics in Paris by Cathrine Dufour/DK.
Sire TOTILAS
Totlias is considered to be the stallion of the century and the most expensive dressage horse in the world, whose incredible charisma and performance have led the sport of dressage to unrivalled popularity. He has shaped the sport of dressage like no horse before him and held three world records at Grand Prix level and won three gold medals at the 2010 World Championships in Lexington/USA under his rider Edward Gal/NL in an unprecedented manner. He also achieved something unique in terms of breeding: right from his first crop, his offspring reached the Grand Prix arena in unusually high numbers and in the meantime made up the entire Dutch championship team. Most of his offspring have exceptional talent for Grand Prix sport, but his foals were also sold at record prices, he produced champion foals and, among others, the second Oldenburg Reserve Champion Mare and Vice Bundeschampioness with True Love OLD and the two-time bronze medallist at the Bundeschampionat Total McLaren. His sons Total Hope and Toto Junior, who won international Grand Prix and were successful on the championship stage, are themselves sought-after sires in addition to their impressive sporting successes. The outstanding sporting success of his offspring has earned Totilas fourth place in the WBFSH ranking of the best dressage sires in the world.
Dam line
Dam’s sire Ampère was the champion stallion at the KWPN licensing in s’Hertogenbosch/NL and finished his 70-day test as the winner with top marks. He can now boast over 60 licensed stallions, including champion and premium stallions. He has produced top foals with record prices of up to €200,000 and some of his offspring are already successful at Grand Prix level. Ampère predominantly gives his offspring a high sport and special Grand Prix aptitude, a lot of spirit, energy and sensitivity.
Dam’s sire Fidermark has also produced an exceptional number of high-performance sport horses that have been successful up to advanced level. His daughter Mount St. John Freestyle, MSJ Tokyo’s granddam, is his masterpiece and most successful offspring. Freestyle was victorious at international Grand Prix level with up to 88% under Charlotte Dujardin/GB and won individual and team bronze with her in her first Grand Prix season in 2018 at the World Championships in Tryon. The mare, who has tremendous movement, is now winning international Grand Prix competitions under the Danish rider Cathrine Dufour and is being prepared for a start at this year’s Olympic Games in Paris.
With Donnerhall in the fourth generation, the pedigree is rounded off by the most successful dressage stallion in the world and founder of the line, who has characterised international breeding in recent decades like no other stallion. In addition to his unrivalled breeding career, he was also successful in sport up to championship level. Under Karin Rehbein, he became team world champion and individual bronze medallist in The Hague in 1994. Three years later, he won team gold and individual bronze at the European Championships in Verden.
