Full brother of Van Vivaldi out of an outstanding dam line
Van Vivaldi II was licensed at the 2023 Westphalian licensing, where he impressed on all days and especially on the lunge. An athlete from head to toe, he has three outstanding, functional gaits with plenty of mechanics. During the first riding tests under saddle, he impressed with the absolutely consistent quality of his movements, which are always uphill, and his exceptional balance, rideability and ability to pick up on things. He brings a lot of energy and a particularly positive attitude to work and inspires with his always good-humoured, very uncomplicated nature.
His incredibly friendly and approachable character immediately captivates everyone. An enchanting young stallion who gives us great pleasure every day and gives us hope for a great future in sport and breeding.
Van Vivaldi II passed his predisposition test in autumn 2024 with an overall score of 8.08 and impressed above all with his outstanding rideability and willingness to perform (both characteristics 8.4). An absolute performance horse that also gave the outside rider a special feeling. His impressive performance in all parts of the test made him the third best in his age group.
Sire VIVALDI
Vivaldi is an excellent Dutch elite stallion and has been among the top ten in the WBFSH ranking for years, which shows the world’s best dressage sires based on their offspring performance. He has produced countless successful offspring, including championship horses and almost 50 licensed sons. Among others, he is responsible for the European Championship team silver medallist Desperado with Emmelie Scholtens / NED, the millionaire champion stallion Vivino, the hann. Champion mare Vanity Fair and the Louisdor winner Veneziano with Daniel Bachmann Andresen / DEN, Dorothee Schneider’s Grand Prix hopeful Vainquer and the OLD main premium winner Vivaldos. Vivaldi’s first licensed and still most outstanding son is certainly Vitalis, who has established himself as an absolute performance sire worldwide.
Vivaldi himself was Dutch HLP Reserve Champion and multiple winner of the Pavo Cup in the Netherlands. In addition to his intensive breeding activities, he was internationally successful up to St. George level.
Dam line
The full brother Van Vivaldi produced several licensed sons straight away during his short time at stud in Germany. He himself was the first reserve champion in Westphalia in 2012 and HLP winner with all scores above 8.5. He became superior champion in Sweden as a six-year-old and then continued his sporting career under the Swedish Olympic rider Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven. He consistently passes on his strength of type and movement, elegance and light-footedness to his offspring. In 2018, his daughter “Venecia Sch” became Oldenburg Champion Mare in Rastede and also won the title for three-year-old mares and geldings under saddle with an overall score of 9.0. The mare secured the silver medal at the Bundeschampionat.
Several of Van Vivaldi’s offspring qualified for the Bundeschampionat and are highly successful in dressage competitions.
Dam’s sire Olivi was reserve champion at the KWPN licensing and, in addition to his breeding career, was victorious up to Intermediare I. Like his sire Vivaldi, he was awarded the coveted “keur” predicate for his offspring management. From 2014 to 2017, he was the second best KWPN sire with a 90% reliability and a dressage index of 181. In addition, he was ranked 18th in the WBFSH ranking in 2018. Olivi is the sire of UB 40, the grandsire of Apache, who produced a two-time young horse world champion and international Grand Prix star in Jovian. Olivi has left his mark on KWPN breeding, particularly through his son UB 40: Apache, Jovian, Grand Galaxy, Global Player and Janeiro Platinum are just a few of the successful sires that can be traced back to Olivi. The two-time World Champion of Young Dressage Horses 2010 and 2011 “Astrix” also comes from an Olivi dam. Olivi comes from the famous Utopia dam line. His dam Halla Utopia was herself successful at international Intermediaire level. Olivi is now based at a stud in the USA.
The third-generation Trakehner stallion Biotop was Dr Reiner Klimke’s last successful Grand Prix horse. His further pedigree includes Havidoff, Vanitas and the renowned thoroughbred Lucky Boy xx, outstanding performers from Dutch breeding.
