Great sport horse in the habitus of a sire

Val d’Aran was the first son of Vivaldo to be licensed in Verden in 2022. He combines many attributes of his famous grandfather Weltmeyer, whereby his outstanding hind leg and his exceptional ability to use his body stand out. He impresses with an always even, dynamic movement that swings through the body with great shoulder freedom. His great talent for collection exercises is already recognisable. He also has an outstanding, always regulated walk that moves through the body.
His self-confident, uncomplicated and calm character with great willingness to perform paves the way to the sport. In addition to his sought-after sire, his dam line, which has produced an unusually high density of very good sport horses and has already produced a world champion young dressage horse in Scara Boa, is particularly noteworthy in terms of breeding.

Sire VIVALDOS
Vivaldos was premium stallion at his licensing in Verden and was named OLD main premium winner in 2020 due to his outstanding offspring. His foals, which are enormously strong in movement and type, were the talk of the town and he received the highest foal rating from the Oldenburg Verband in his premiere year.
His dam Pr.St. Doris Day was Champion Mare at the Herwart-von-der-Decken Show in 2010 and Bundeschampionesse in Warendorf in the same year. Dam’s sire Desperados won team gold and individual bronze at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro under Kristina Bröring-Sprehe. He has also proven himself as a breeder and was the No. 1 dressage horse sire worldwide in the 2016 WBFSH ranking. Desperados was honoured as “Hanoverian Stallion of the Year” due to his exceptional sporting and breeding success.

Dam line
The dam Weltina produced two show-winning mares, Dunja and Grace Girl, who also placed at the Herwart-von-der-Decken show.
The second dam, Pr.St. Ayrien, also produced a show winner with Pr.St. Laissez-Fair. The dam’s sire Weltmeyer became the founder of the line and stamp stallion during his lifetime and influenced dressage horse breeding worldwide in the 1990s like no other stallion. He set standards in both sport and breeding, producing no less than eleven Bundeschampions and over 100 licensed sons in addition to championship and Grand Prix horses. He has immortalised himself in particular in his more than 1000 daughters, many of whom have dominated national shows and continue to shape breeding today. His hereditary performance with over 2000 registered sport horses is unrivalled. Weltmeyer passed on a lot of spirit and strength of character to his offspring and, above all, an exceptionally good hind leg, attributes that Val d’Aran also inherited from his dam’s sire. The third dam’s sire is Akzent II, who has written breeding history. Akzent II, with his strong type, gave his offspring outstanding rideability and willingness to perform. Luciano is also an important performance sire of his time in the fourth generation.
The dam line of Aslaug has produced exceptional horses in terms of both breeding and sport: the premium stallion and valued sire Blue Hors Farrell, the former state stud stallion Fusionist and the 2013 World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses Scara Boa. Blue Hors Future Cup, who won several medals at young rider level, was also a successful sport horse from this line. Numerous other horses from this line are also successful at international Grand Prix level.
