Since his first public appearance at the pre-selection in Münster-Handorf, he has been the talk of the town and was also celebrated by the expert audience at his licensing with scene applause: Vespasiano inspires with boundless movement potential and incredible expressiveness. A truly outstanding stallion and an absolutely exceptional phenomenon. His great talent is combined with his exceptional willingness to perform and his uncomplicated, endearing character. An attentive stallion who reacts very finely, always keeps an overview and wants to do everything right. He has it all: modern, yet stable conformation, fantastic interior and three basic gaits that are rarely found in this quality.

His walk is characterised by great forward and over stride, moving through the whole body. His trot is characterised by maximum elasticity and impulsion, always uphill, with a lot of power from the hind leg and back and great shoulder freedom. Despite all the size that Vespasiano can develop in trot, a few moments of his in-hand performances show that he will also be absolutely able to carry himself and collect, which is essential for a long-term sporting career. The majority of Viva Gold offspring have a lot of, sometimes outstanding, mechanics in their movements, but do not always have the most basic impulsion. Vespasiano combines both characteristics. His canter is spectacular: maximum uphill, always balanced, over the back, jumping far underneath and with unlimited shoulder freedom. Vespasiano’s movement potential and his special charisma made him one of the most talked about and most sought-after young stallions of the 2024 licensing year.

Vespasiano impressed us from the very first moment: he came trotting out of his breeder’s stable at the age of just three days and has fascinated many people who have seen him ever since. He was an incredibly expressive, spectacular foal and has never lost this natural strength of movement and aura. His older full sister has also been with us since foaling. She is very similar to Vespasiano and is certainly an absolutely exceptional talent. She is being trained gently and we are very much looking forward to her forthcoming sporting career.

Sire VIVA GOLD OLD

Vespasiano’s sire Viva Gold OLD is certainly one of the strongest sires of our time and his debut year at the 2022/2023 licensing was a sensation: in his first two licensing years he produced two champion stallions, two reserve champions, a €1.2 million top prize, ten premium stallions and 21 licensed sons. A very rare successful sire debut. Viva Gold’s dam line, the Weissena line, is also currently one of the best in the world: At home with one of the most successful dressage breeders, Christine Arns-Krogmann in Lohne, this line has not only produced the team gold and individual silver winner of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Weihegold OLD under Isabell Werth, but also numerous licensed stallions, Brillantring and premium mares and successful sport horses up to Grand Prix level such as Total Hope, Extra Gold, For Gold, Sir Weihbach, Dodo Weihgand, Statesman OLD and many more. and many more.

Dam line

Vespasiano comes from the Hanoverian dam line of Alite. His dam ‘Feine Deern’ is herself very strong-moving and rideable and was on her way to the state and national championships as a young horse under the saddle of Hermann Gehrdes. Unfortunately, an accident put an end to any prospect of using him in sport. Fernando, the full brother to Feine Deern, was successful in dressage competitions up to advanced (S*) level. The dam line has produced several licensed sons and premium mares and a particularly high density of St. Georg sport horses successful up to international Grand Prix level, such as High Lane by Hotline, Fernando by Fidertanz, Haminu by Hohenstein, Behlinge by Breitling, Drentano by De Niro, Flynn HM by Floriscount, Del Curto by Dimaggio, De Vega by De Niro and Wonderful Diamond by Weltmeyer.
